Design Services
Lancaster Hunt offer design services ranging from feasibility studies through to low volume turn key manufacture. We specialise in fast turn round prototyping, being able to produce boards typically with a four week turn round. As we are fully aware of what is required to get a design to market, we are fully conversant with designing for testability and for low EMC emissions. We do offer low cost solution for your under resourcing problems. We offer the following services :
- PCB Design, Manufacture and Assembly
We can design, manufacture and assemble your PCB for you. Our PCB layout capabilities are 1-28 layers, 6 thou track & gap and board size to 999×999 mm.
We output in industry standard Gerber (RS274-X) format. Design documentation can be provided in both PDF and DFX formats. Additionally we can perform PCB simulation for signal integrity and electro magnetic compatibility.
For a full turn key service, we can manufacture and assemble your finished PCB. - Electronic Circuit Design
From high speed digital circuits to complex analog designs, we have the the skills to turn your specifications into completed electronic designs.
We have completed digital design work at clock speeds in excess of 500MHz, including design and simulation of PCB transmission lines.
In the analog world, we have designed high specification audio test equipment, and high speed video switching and multiplexing systems. - FPGA and CPLD Design
Coding in VHDL with either Quartus or Foundation development tools. We are currently using Altera devices but have in the past used MMI, AMD ( Vantis ), Lattice, Cypress, WSI and Xilinx. We have completed designs with over 100k gates running at internal clock speeds of over 200MHz. - Embedded Processor Design
We have completed many designs for embedded microprocessors ranging from small PIC based designs to MC68040 compute engines. To compliment hardware design, we are also able to offer low level programming for these designs in assembler, C or C++.

Component obsolescence is an increasing work load on many engineering departments. Lancaster Hunt Systems can work with you to plan and solve your component obsolescence issues. This ranges from simple like for like replacements, to complex re- engineering design work. We can undertake functional, parametric environmental and EMC testing to ensure a smooth transfer from the old to the new. - Fast Turn Prototyping
We specialise in fast turn round designs. We can take your idea, whether it is in your head, on a napkin or from a fully drawn schematic and give you a board within 4 weeks.
